The empowerment of women is not just a social necessity but a crucial step towards national progress. With this vision in mind, the Consumer Welfare & Legal Compliance Commission, Government of India, is organizing Sampurna – Mahila Sashaktikaran Karyashala on 22nd February 2025 at Chhatia, Jajpur, Odisha. This initiative is set to create awareness, provide resources, and inspire women to take charge of their futures.
The word Sampurna translates to ‘complete’ or ‘wholesome’, symbolizing the holistic development of women in society. This workshop aims to address key issues faced by women, including legal rights, financial literacy, self-employment, and leadership opportunities.
Women in rural and semi-urban areas often lack access to crucial information about their rights and opportunities. Sampurna will serve as a platform to bridge this gap, equipping them with knowledge and practical tools to become self-reliant.
This one-day workshop will feature:
Legal Awareness Sessions: Understanding women’s rights, consumer rights, and legal safeguards.
Skill Development Programs: Training on self-employment, entrepreneurship, and vocational skills.
Financial Literacy Sessions: Guidance on savings, investments, and government schemes for women.
Inspirational Talks: Stories of successful women entrepreneurs and leaders who have transformed their lives.
Community Engagement: Networking opportunities with organizations supporting women’s welfare and empowerment.
Despite significant progress in women’s rights, many still face barriers in education, employment, and leadership. Events like Sampurna play a vital role in breaking these barriers by fostering confidence, providing essential skills, and encouraging women to become agents of change in their communities.
